TTT: Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time

It is once again time for a Top Ten Five Tuesday! This week’s prompt is Books I Wish I Could Read Again for the First Time.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme, created by The Broke and Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl

Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Byron

This is one of my first most memorable reads of 2021. It wasn’t my most favorite read, but I liked where it was going. Mentally, I wasn’t in a very good place when I read it – I would have liked to read it for the first time where my brain was in a more not-sad space.

……….

Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones

Just a very fun read. It’s different from the Ghibli movie, but still wonderfully magical.

……….

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

Now, this book I read for the first time shortly after it came out. I instantly fan-girled with that Oingo Boingo reference and all of those ’80s pop culture references had me sold. I’d probably still fangirl over the references, but I’d like to think that I’ve matured a bit since then and might be more critical towards story and characters.

……….

The Ritual by Adam Nevill

I know I just finished this book – I am working on a review – but it’s been a while since I’ve been sitting on the edge of my seat when reading a book. I’d like to experience that again!

……….

Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko

Okay – this blog might as well be a Raybearer fan blog. It’s not, but it might as well be. I love this book and I’d love to read it for the first time again!

This was a bit of a mixed bag. Hope you enjoyed. Happy reading ❤️

  1. Great choices! Raybearer is probably a record for me for quickest reread. I haven’t even finished it for the first time and I have already planned to read it with my book club this month. x
