March wrap-up

March is over and April is here. March has been a meh month for me with two pet rats that had to go over the Rainbow Bridge. However, March was also the month I entered the wonderful world of book blogging – I’ve already made some wonderful friends! This also means that my TBR list on Goodreads will be forever growing.

What have I read?

I’ve surprised myself with the amount of books I’ve read this month. Especially considering I had a few weeks where I just did not feel the urge to read a book – it was a proper reading slump for a while there.

The House in the Cerulean Sea by T. J. Klune
This is the cutest book I’ve ever read. Perfect for the lover of wholesome gay fantasy.
5 out of 5 stars

Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert
Sweet and steamy romantic comedy. Can’t wait to get on with the rest of the series.
5 out of 5 stars

Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk
I was not the biggest fan of the writing. The relationships between the characters were interesting and the best part of the book. The presentation of a certain mental disorder was a big minus and removed a star from my rating.
2.5 out of 5 stars

Roverandom by J. R. R. Tolkien
This was just a cute read and thanks to my best friend inspired the naming of my book blog 🙂
5 out of 5 stars

Books on my pause shelf

I started several books since I do want to read them – I am just not in the right mindset for me to enjoy them. I am looking forward to getting to them, though.

Anoka by Shane Hawk
John Dies at the End by David Wong
The Electric Kingdom by David Arnold

What did I buy in March?

Three audiobooks – The Gilded Ones, The Shadow in the Glass, and Shadow and Bone. For once, I actually bought physical copies of books! The Ocean at the End of the Lane, and Dark Matter!

The Shadow in the Glass by JJA Harwood
The Gilded Ones by Namina Forna
Dark Matter by Blake Crouch
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

TBR for April

What are you reading plans for April?

    • Thank you. Sadly it’s a fact we need to live with – us who choose to have rats – that we only have them for a very short time ❤

The book blogging community feels like something I’ve needed for a while. Thank you, and you too!!!
