The Last Ten Books Tag

Huzzah for my very first book tag!

I have been tagged by the wonderful _ForBooksSake and I will do my best to make them proud!!!

The title has probably given you a hint of what this tag is about – which is The Last Ten Books Tag. So let’s just jump into it!

The Last Book I Gave Up On

I remember the last book I gave up on vividly – I even made a blog post about it! It was Horrorstör by Grady Hendrix and you can read my post about my rant here. So, to make a long story short, I got 50% on a 248 pages book and decided I could not spend more time with people I just really dislike. It was a disappointment since I think the premise is awesome, but the characters were just not likeable.

The Last Book I Reread

Usually, I don’t really finish the books I reread, since I use them to relax and fall asleep to. The current audiobook I am rereading is The Fellowship of the Ring (The Lord of the Rings book #1), by the beloved author, J. R. R. Tolkien. I am listening to the Danish version narrated by Torben Sekov. His voice just brings me back to my childhood, since his voice has been used in some of my childhood favourite cartoons. This is really just a great comfort read for me.

The Last Book I Bought

Thanks to Kate over at The Quick and the Read and her blog tour post of The Shadow in the Glass by JJA Harwood, I have now bought this book on sale on Audible.co.uk. I just couldn’t help myself.

The Last Book I Said I Read But Didn’t

I don’t think I’ve ever done this – it’s more like…I’ve read this book, but I’ve completely forgotten everything about it! Like Angels & Demons by Dan Brown. It is not exactly what is asked for, but I guess it’s close enough? xD

Last Book I Wrote in the Margins of

It’s not exactly writing in the margins of if it’s a highlight on an e-book? I made a highlight in Anoka by Shane Hawk because I think it is important to remember this. The highlight is on the Dedication page:

To Tori
Forever and ever, babe

And to all missing indigenous girls and women
Their crisis crushes my Indian heart

That part with the indigenous girls and women just hits me hard. I feel fortunate that I grew up in Greenland and Denmark – of course, shit still happens to women of my ethnicity here, but hearing the stories of how indigenous girls and women are treated in Canada and the US are just heartbreaking.

Last Book That I Had Signed

I am very sad to say, that I do not have a single signed book 😦

Last Book I Lost
I don’t think I’ve ever lost a book…I did lose my favourite tiger plushie once. Never got it back.

Last Book I Had To Replace
I am happy to say, that I’ve never had to replace a book 🙂

Last Book You Pre-Ordered

Pre-ordering isn’t really my thing, but I got really into the Bobiverse series on my Audible app. This feels like ages ago, but it was the third book in the series: All These Worlds by Dennis E. Taylor. A wonderfully fun science fiction series. I pre-ordered the audiobook on Audible.

I’m tagging:

This was a fun first tag post. I hope you enjoyed it just as much as I did!
